carries out both cargo inspections and marine surveys.
You can find a detailed description of the most common services carried out by our company below.
Quality and quantity inspection includes many types of assessment of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of cargoes. We carry out pre-shipment surveys, loading/ discharge supervision, draft survey, in-stow after loading or before discharging surveys, survey of damaged goods, cargo weighing and weight control, lashing and securing surveys, marking, etc.
Independent pre-loading (pre-shipment) surveys are regularly commissioned by interested parties to protect themselves from any claim on condition of the cargo and to ensure that bills of lading and/or mate's receipts accurately describe the apparent order and condition of the cargo when it was taken on board the ship.
We assess condition of different cargoes before loading, such as general cargoes, steel products, cereals, fertilizers, etc. We provide this service in compliance with international and local standards, such as The American Rust Standard Guide and ISO 8501, using the conventional clauses and conforming to other customized orders.
When changing the cargo, it is necessary to clean the ship's holds, and very often to clean up the remnants of the previous cargo.
Therefore, our company will clean the holds (tanks), including hard-to-reach places, to the level that is necessary for a particular cargo including the Grain Ready Condition. We also carry out the holds cleaning /washing during vessel’s passage in the Baltic, Black, Red, Mediterranean and other Seas. Our team can board the ship at the port of discharge and descend at the port of loading, preparing the hold for receipt of the new cargo.
Thus, there appears actually no waiting time connected with the preparation of the holds. In case of penetration of dirt /damage into the hold by previous cargo or rust, we will carry out painting of the hold.
The work is carried out by a qualified personnel and necessary professional equipment within short terms, which is very important for saving time of the vessel hire, as well as for reducing unnecessary costs.
We also recommend regular cleaning of the holds, as it provides an opportunity to keep your vessel in a good condition and minimize the problems with holds inspection. Our goal is to get your vessel back on hire at the earliest convenience possible.
*This service is used for land tanks and railway wagons / tanks.
Vessel condition survey is a report on the current condition of the vessel and her equipment. We conduct pre-entry, renewal, follow-up, on/off hire, pre-purchase, damage and repair surveys, as well as hold cleanliness inspection.
Hull and Machinery survey inspections are carried out in order to identify the damage or loss of the incident on Hull and Machinery and also witness and supervise repair operations, cost of the same and causes of the incident and estimates of the loss or damage. Our services include survey of collision, machinery breakdown, fire, stranding, water ingress, etc.
We also conduct P&I insurance service. P&I insurance is primarily intended to cover a ship owner’s or operator's liability towards third parties.
We generally prevent damage to the insured's own property or direct loss of the Company.
Bunker surveys are needed to determine quantity of fuel or liquid cargo on board a vessel or in tank wagon/container. Bunker surveys are often performed in conjunction with on/off-hire surveys.
The experienced specialists of our company fulfill bunker surveys of all types, including determination of the quantity of bulk cargo in tanks and tank-containers.
Frequently a party involved in a transportation process is interested in the continuous control of cargo operations to prevent loss due to careless handling, pilferage, or incorrect stowage and lashing. The interested party assigns a surveyor to facilitate and control handling of the cargo concerned at any stage of transportation, as well as to estimate losses. Our company performs supercargo management, supervision at loading and discharge, sampling, cargo weighing and measurement, test analyses, and other services.
Draft survey is the determination of a vessel's displacement by measurement draughts of the vessel before and after loading or discharging. The difference between these two displacements is the weight of cargo loaded or discharged. Sometimes the deadweight survey is used for assessing approximate weight of cargo on board.
We provide all types of cargo sampling, e.g., fertilizers, metals, grain products, liquid products, etc. If ordered, we accomplish analyses of the samples in the certified laboratories.
Usually the only way to determine quantity of piece goods is tallying the cargo. Our tallymen perform professional tally of all types of cargo.
While tallying, we provide our client or their representative (chief officer of the vessel, supercargo, agent) with daily reports, which contain quantitative data, weight declared, and brief qualitative description of the cargo. On completion of the cargo operationwe issue a Final Tally Report.
Other types of inspections can also be carried out on request.
